This is a slide show of a phalaenopsis orchid a past client of mine gave me a few years ago. It sure is hanging in there and is looking beautiful yet again this year!
I hope you enjoy it!

I received this notice from colleague Krista Post, MA, LP; whose work in the fertility/prenatal/postpartum mental health field has helped many of my patients with a wide range of issues.
Please contact your representatives now to help women’s mental health and help families in Minnesota thrive!

Dear Friends,
I want to strongly encourage you to read & promote the following bill which will extend best-practices for maternal health care, perinatal mental health education & support, and mental health screening & treatment options for – pregnant & postpartum women & their children –
1) Read this important maternal & child mental health bill:
This bill goes a long way toward providing the supports needed for mothers at risk for hormonal/emotional difficulties during the perinatal period, which in turn will assure that their babies have the opportunity for healthy development, attachment, and family life. The portions underlined are the new additions to our statutes that we need to support.
2) Please forward this to all your friends, family members, & associates
This is an opportunity to help all birthing women avoid long-term pain and health problems for themselves and their children. It will ensure long-term healthcare cost-savings to our State. It promotes the health of our families, which in turn fosters the overall health & effectiveness of Minnesota’s citizenry. This is a large and complex bill. It raises all the issues around maternity & mental health care that we believe in.
3) Call and email your MN Congressperson & Senator, now:
Tell them you support –House File1047– and –Senate File 582– “So babies get the best possible start”. They want & need to hear from you!
Thank you!

I recently received this message from the Twin Cities chapter of Slow Food, asking for help in signing a petition for Cedar Summit Farm. If you’re interested in signing the petition to help save their organic, grass-fed milk operation, please do and send it on to anyone you think might be interested in signing as well. Thanks!

Just forwarding this in support of the Minars, who run Cedar Summit Farm, and hope you’ll consider signing their petition.
“Twin Cities” is part of our name because there are three other chapters in Minnesota. Our chapter is a large one, encompassing much of the state. Other chapters are in Duluth, Rochester and Fergus Falls.
Hi all, I’m unable to treat clients tonight Feb 6. Sorry for the late notice! 🙁
I’ll be in Friday am starting at 8:30 this week. I hope you have a nice evening!
KCA hopes 2013 is full of positive change and good health for you and your family!
Christian is now back to a regular schedule, Wednesday evenings 5:30-8:30pm and Fridays form 7:30-10 am.
Come on by for a treatment to help you recover from the holidays!
This is an article about treating yourself for jet lag and for Daylight Savings Time changes.
Please try it out – as I mention in the article, if you need help locating the points before your next trip, call to schedule an appointment at 612-871-2288 and I can help you locate them.
This technique is definitely most effective when the points are accurate!

If you’ve recently seen to our website, you’ve perhaps noticed that KCA has added an online scheduling feature called Schedulicity. We hope it will help provide a simple way for patients to schedule a session.
[box type=”alert”]
In order to schedule online, in consideration of other patients, we do require a credit card to reserve the time.
If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please do so no later than 24 hours before your scheduled session.
YOU WILL BE CHARGED IF YOU DO NOT CANCEL YOUR APPOINTMENT WITHIN 24 HOURS OF YOUR SESSION
[/box]
Thank you for understanding that we need to be considerate of our walk-in patients and those who do not have access to the internet or the use of a credit card.
We hope this feature proves useful to our current and future patients!
Melissa and I wanted to clarify our schedule for our patients.
In order to have a minimal treatment session, please arrive no later than 30 minutes before the posted closing times. If you would prefer a longer treatment, please plan your arrival with the posted closing time in mind.
As an example, if you wanted to have a treatment with Melissa on Tuesday morning and you’d like an hour treatment, please come no later than 9 am to account for the 10am closing time.
We will add more time to the treatment schedule as the need arises, so please pass the word!!!
Thanks for your support!
KCA will be closed on Friday, November 23 for the Thanksgiving holiday.
We are thankful for all our patients and hope you have a wonderful holiday!
Christian and Melissa
