KCA open during the holidays AND a quick poll

KCA is OPEN the next 2 weeks

Just a quick reminder that KCA will be open tonight and next Tuesday 12/30. KCA will be open as usual, from 9-11am, on both Fridays during this holiday time.

KCA will return to the regular schedule through January 2015. Which leads me to a…

Quick Facebook poll

…about the KCA schedule change starting in February 2015!

POLL: KCA schedule change starting February 2015

I’ve created a poll to get feedback on which night I should change KCA evening hours to, starting in February 2015.

Please click on the link below and let me know what you think, and I’ll do my best to change it to the time that works best for the most people. Thanks for your input!

Holiday 2014 KCA schedule

I have an update for you on the KCA schedule through the end of 2014.

Since Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve fall on Wednesdays this year, I will be treating clients on 12/23 and 12/30, which are both Tuesday evenings.  It will be in the Gathering Space as usual, and the timing is the same, from 5:30-8:30pm.

I have updated the online calendar to reflect this change.

Also, just for a little advance notice, there will be a schedule change as of February 2015.  I will have to change the pm KCA sessions to another evening, probably to Tuesdays, but I hope only through May (when Molly’s grad classes change again!).  I will firm this up in the next month and send out a notification when all is settled, so keep an eye out!

Thanks, and I wish you and your family the happiest of holidays and a wonderful New Year!

Treatment of infertility with acupuncture

Here’s a link to a good article on the treatment of infertility with acupuncture.

In my experience: in most cases whenever possible, utilizing Chinese Medicine herbal formulas, in addition to acupuncture treatments, may further increase the chances of success in not only attaining pregnancy, but carrying a baby to term.

Wednesday 11/13 KCA treatments start at 6 pm

This is a note going out to everyone who is hoping to attend KCA this Wednesday evening.

Christian will be starting the session about 30 minutes late, but will extend the closing time, if necessary.

So, this Wednesday 11/13 KCA treatments start at 6 pm instead of 5:30.

Also, please pass the word to your friends about KCA – Eileen and I love our patients and all the support you’ve given us!

I will also write a post to update everyone about the Thanksgiving week schedule soon.

Thank you!

Skeptics of acupuncture – rebuttal by 5th generation practitioner

The Huffington Post published an article in response to yet another Medical Doctor sharing his belief that acupuncture is worthless.

Read Dr Jingduan Yang’s post

Dr. Jingduan Yang, a 5th generation Chinese medicine specialist, wrote a response that I think may help promote the understanding that acupuncture; with its long historical use and support relatively recently from national and international organizations such as the AMA, NIH and WHO; may be effective for a number of different health concerns.  It may not be for everyone, but then again, Western medicine doesn’t help everyone either.  To be sure, skeptics of acupuncture / TCM and Western medicine all exist!

My feeling is, practitioners of both of these health care systems (and other systems as well) have something of value to bring to those people who come to us for help.  Let’s work together using our respective paradigms and help our patients be well!
